Welcome to the home page for Little Bears Park classes! We’ve been hosting in-person music classes for kids ages 6 mos. – 5 yrs. since 2007, and have been holding classes in parks in San Francisco since July 2020. We have honed our craft to provide the best outdoor music classes possible! Still not convinced? Check out the story that ABC7 did about our pandemic era classes!

Enrollment is open and rolling for all of our 2024 classes. We have indoor classes at our campuses in Fort Mason and Mission Bay, and outdoor classes for toddlers in the following parks in San Francisco: Little Marina Green, Noe Courts, the Panhandle Picnic Area, Argonne Elementary, and Thrive City.

Enrollment

We are currently enrolling for all classes! Enrollment for these classes is done by hand. You cannot sign up online. Please email [email protected] to enroll in outdoor toddler music classes or with any other inquiries. Writing with your preferred park/neighborhood, day of the week, and times will make the enrollment process faster.

– Monday at 10:15 am with Rachel at Natural Resources SF (Location J). Enroll here.
– Monday at 10:15 am and 11:15 am with Michael at Blue Bear Fort Mason (Location B)
– Monday at 3 pm and 4 pm with Ji at Blue Bear Mission Bay (Location F). These classes are free to residents of these nearby apartment buildings.
 
– Tuesday at 9:30 am and 10:30 am with Lucia at Blue Bear Mission Bay (Location F). These classes are free to residents of these nearby apartment buildings.
– Tuesday at 10 am with Michael at Salesforce Park Main Plaza.
 
– Wednesday at 10:15 am and 11:15 am with Michael at Little Marina Green (Location A)
– Wednesday at 11 am with Rachel at Noe Courts (Location H)
 
– Thursday at 10 am and 11 am with Ji at Blue Bear Mission Bay (Location F). These classes are free to residents of these nearby apartment buildings.
– Thursday at 11 am with Rachel at the Panhandle Picnic Area (Location D)
 
– Friday at 10 am with Michael at Thrive City (Location G, 4/5 – 6/14)
 
– Saturday at 10 am and 11 am with Lucia and Michael at Argonne Elementary (Location C)
 
– Sunday at 10 am and 11 am with Mimi at Argonne Elementary (Location C)
 
All classes with only one section have the possibility of adding a second section 1 hour later with enough enrollment interest. We’re so excited to rock out(side) with you!

Tuition & Policies

Welcome to Little Bears in the Park! These classes are designed to introduce your little ones to making music together.

  • We offer classes on an ongoing basis throughout the entire calendar year (as opposed to a quarterly model with breaks between sessions). To join the class, you have to buy a pack of classes. Class packs must be used in consecutive weeks, with a few exceptions. These exceptions are:
    • Illness (please communicate absences beforehand if possible)
    • Travel (please communicate absences beforehand)
    • If there is a cancellation on our end (teacher illness/travel, rain, etc)
  • Class pricing is as follows:
    • 10+ classes is $29/class meeting.
    • 5-9 classes is $33/class meeting.
    • 1-4 classes is $37/class meeting.
    • If tuition is a burden for you, we have a sliding scale. Scroll down just a little bit on that page for the Little Bears sliding scale.
  • Discounts: If you enroll 2x weekly or with two children, you get a 30% discount.
  • Drop-ins are allowed, and there is no minimum enrollment length.
    • For San Francisco classes, you can buy single drop-ins. We also have a program for autopay for single dop-ins.
  • Class will meet at its specified location (indoor or outdoors) for 45 minutes.  For outdoor classes, bring your favorite blanket (so your little one can have a visual reminder of your space) and your instruments from home. 
    • If you’d rather travel light, no instruments are required.
