Kobi Cummings grew up in Boston, MA where he was exposed to music at a young age via his father who was a concert pianist. He was playing guitar by 7, moved onto a drum kit at 10, and picked up the bass at 12. Throughout his childhood, Kobi spent a lot of time in the mountains snowboarding professionally. After high school, he attended Naropa University in Boulder, CO graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree specializing in Music Composition, Music Theory, and Recording Engineering.
Kobi’s laid-back teaching style focuses on meeting people where they are musically and adapting a lesson based on how the student learns. Students will find him both engaging and relatable. His passion for music is evident and his experience ranges from DJing, studio recording sessions for well-known artists, as well as performing live with various bands. Kobi teaches private lessons in bass, guitar, piano, drums, and computer-based music.
