Bethany Mitchell was raised in Mission Viejo, California, where she studied dance from the age of four and piano from the age of six. She began her professional career in 2004 as a dancer with Ballet Pacifica in Irvine and moved to San Francisco in 2007 to tour internationally with Liss Fain Dance. While living in San Francisco, Bethany also taught children at ODC Dance Commons and Blue Bear School of Music. She moved to New York City in 2012 to further her career and danced with Battery Dance and Indelible Dance while teaching at the Mark Morris Dance Center and Harlem School of the Arts. She has toured to over forty countries as a professional dancer and taught master classes and creative workshops in over twenty countries as a teaching artist with Battery Dance. She also writes and performs her own music, and has played solo shows at Rockwood Music Hall and Gold Sounds in New York City and Amado’s in San Francisco. She is currently teaching children and pursuing her own creative endeavors in San Francisco.
